Director of the ACHA National College Health Assessment

Mary T. Hoban, Ph.D., CHES is the Chief Research Officer for the American College Health Association (ACHA) and Director of the ACHA National College Health Assessment (ACHA-NCHA) Program Office. She was recruited by the ACHA to manage a 10 year, $2.5 million CDC-funded HIV prevention project at the American College Health Association. Dr. Hoban and her team at ACHA has primary responsibility for managing data collection for the ACHA-NCHA, typically surveying more than 100,000 college students across the country every year. ACHA also offers campuses a Patient Satisfaction Assessment Service and is launching the ACHA National Faculty and Staff Health Assessment this year. Dr. Hoban’s unit also conducts surveys of ACHA members and other college health professionals about college health service provision and utilization across a wide range of topics. ACHA is embarking on a new Data Warehouse project with the aim of connecting numerous internal and external data points across institutions. Previous to this position, Dr. Hoban worked at the University Health Center at the University of Maryland, College Park.
