Chris Woods, M.A.

Chris Woods, M.A. is the Associate Director of Multicultural Affairs and LGBTQ Outreach at Columbia University. He previously served as the Program Administrator of the NYU LGBTQ Student Center. In addition to his professional roles, Chris has contributed to the field of LGBTQ student services in higher education by serving on the board of the Consortium of Higher Education LGBT Resource Professionals as the Recorder (2016-2018) and previously as the Racial Justice Chair (2014-2016). Chris has dedicated much of his academic and professional experiences to addressing the intersections of faith and sexuality on the college campus. He has presented nationally at conferences and colleges/universities on topics centering queer and trans people of color, racial justice and intersectionality, bi/multiracial identities, and the intersections of faith, race, and sexuality. Additional research interests include exploring the experiences of queer and trans survivors of sexual violence, specifically how they make meaning of their experiences and navigate campus/state resources.
